Oracle Apps DBA (EBS)

Key Responsibilities

Administer and support Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) R12.x application tier, ensuring high availability and system uptime.

Perform start/stop, monitoring, log analysis, and health checks across production and non-production environments.

Manage EBS configuration using AutoConfig and context files, maintaining environment standards.

Plan and execute EBS application and technology stack patching in line with change management processes.

Coordinate with DBAs for database patch alignment and scheduled maintenance activities.

Execute EBS cloning and environment refreshes (Prod → UAT/DEV), including pre- and post-clone steps and validations.

Troubleshoot production issues related to login, forms, web pages, Concurrent Manager, Workflow Mailer, and scheduled jobs.

Collaborate with infrastructure, network, and security teams for OS, storage, certificates, load balancers, and connectivity issues.

Monitor EBS availability and performance using OEM, scripts, and log monitoring tools; recommend tuning and performance improvements.

Automate routine administrative tasks using shell scripting.

Produce incident updates, RCA reports, and implement preventive measures for recurring issues.

Maintain SOPs, runbooks, patch logs, change records, and DR documentation in audit-ready format.

Adhere to ITIL processes and support security, compliance, and audit requirements (SOC2/ISO/SOX).
