Job Description

We are looking for an experienced AS400 Developer with strong expertise in RPG technologies and hands-on experience in system integrations and migration projects. The ideal candidate will play a key role in supporting and modernizing our warehouse and distribution systems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, enhance, and maintain applications on AS400 using RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB2 SQL, Embedded SQL, and IFS.

Work with REST APIs, including consuming APIs in RPG programs (RPG3).

Convert legacy programs into stored procedures.

Transform JSON data into AS400 data structures (plain string processing).

Handle SFTP/FTP connectivity and related integrations.

Manage third-party integrations and data exchange.

Lead and manage the migration of: WMS (Warehouse Management System) DSI (Distribution System Integration) PFASTSHIP (shipping solution) from AS400 to modern systems.

Serve as the subject-matter expert for WMS and PFASTSHIP systems.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in AS400 development.
  • Strong hands-on experience in RPG, RPGLE, CL, CLLE, DB2 SQL, Embedded SQL, and IFS.
  • Experience with JD Edwards World (functional knowledge preferred).
  • Hands-on experience with Aldon, IBM WebSphere, Webservices, API development, Hawkeye (nice to have).
  • Experience in SFTP/FTP connectivity and third-party integrations.
  • Experience in working with REST APIs and converting programs to stored procedures.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lead system migration projects from AS400 to modern platforms.
  • Maintain records of the conversations with the customer and analyze the data.
  • Handling customer queries on Chat and E-mails.
